Examination and Promotion Rules

Examination Rules :

CHOLASTIC: As per WBBSE norms

Three Written Periodic Tests will be conducted for each Subject in the entire Academic Session. Followed by a pre board examination and successful candidates will be sent for Board Examination.

FOR CLASSES LKG TO VIII

  • PAssessment Test 1 - Month of March
  • Assessment Test 2 - Month of April
  • Mid Term - Month of June
  • Assessment Test 3 - Month of August
  • Assessment Test 4 - Month of October
  • Final Exam - Month of December
  • Specific syllabus will be uploaded for every test at least 15 days prior to the examination. Promotion to the next class will be as per R.T.E rules. The average of all the examination will be taken in consideration for promotion.

Grading will be done on a 7point basis (AA, A+, A, B+, B, C, D) for L.K.G to VIII.

Promotion Rules

Students up to class-VIII will get compulsory promotion by means of the provision of Right To Education Act 2009.

  • Students will be given grades for each of the tests/activities/examination.
  • Grades will be given on a nine point scale i.e.

A student of class IX will be promoted to the next class if he gets the qualifying grades (i.e. A-D) in all the subjects as well as in Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). He shall not be allowed to sit in the next class if he gets the non-qualifying grades i.e. D

• Students who fail in a class more than once will have to leave the school.

• The attendance of 75% during the academic year is compulsory Otherwise the students will not be allowed to appear at the final examination.

• According to the rules of the State Board.

• Bengali must be a subject for the students up to class VIII. According to the rules of the State Board.
